God placed the vision of starting a church on the heart and mind of Dr. Calvin J. McFadden, Sr. in early 2022 while going through a tumultuous ministry journey. After much prayer, preparation and assistance from faithful Christians, the McFadden Family, along with 154 individuals founded The Cornerstone Community Church of Houston-C3. On March 7, 2022, C3 held its first public service at The India House in Houston, TX.
Cornerstone currently leases worship space at Fondren Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Missouri City, TX and offers a dynamic Sunday morning experience, inclusive of Children & Youth services. The Lord continues to bless C3 by adding to the membership on a daily basis making it an inter-generational church.
The vision of C3 includes acquiring a permanent facility to meet the demands of a growing congregation and to launch a Christian academy, senior housing, gym and retail space.
From its inception, God has shown favor on C3; however, to whom much is given, much is required. Cornerstone’s mission is to “Discover Christ. Embrace Community. Change the World.” We will never lose sight of the Great Commission from God and believe that ‘the best is still yet to come!’
